“We did a maternity session with Jolene and LOVE all the pictures. She found my best angles being pregnant; I used the photos for our Christmas cards and even framed one of my husband and I.”

  Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your gallery is linked to an easy-to-use online print shop. The shop is filled with a variety of lab-quality photo products for you to choose from, such as matted and framed prints, calendars, and greeting cards.

  • I am a firm believer in quality over quantity, and as an artist, it is my goal to deliver a high-quality curated gallery for you. One where every image included is a viable print option. I will not deliver an image if it is flawed (unintentionally out of focus, 6o double chins). It is not my intention to fill an image count quota. It's my goal to give you as many beautiful images as possible.

  • Yes, I retouch and edit all of my imagery. I apply a general look to your session and do basic skin retouching and color correction. Don't worry if you have a pimple; I will get rid of it. That said, never rely on me fixing it with retouching if you can fix it before the session. The length of time it will take for you to iron a shirt is FAR less than the length of time it will take for me to retouch out wrinkles on every image.

  • There are two factors that should align for your session. We want to aim for a time of day when everyone is generally well-rested, while the light in your home is ideal. For most families the morning works best, while others prefer to shoot after the afternoon nap and end at sunset. Film sessions will take place in the late afternoon so we can capture the prettiest sunset light.

  • Weather permitting, we can absolutely shoot outdoors.  Please note that the location will need to be within walking distance of your home.

  • Your prep guide will discuss wardrobe but in general you should keep it simple. This is a snapshot of your life. Be yourself and the photos will shine. Avoid uncomfortable, wrinkle-prone outfits, neon colors, and overly formal attire. If you are looking for a very posed, formal shoot, I may not be the right fit.

  • The beauty of a lifestyle session is that kids don’t have to be ON all the time. I quietly work my way around a scene capturing their love for you without needing to force them into anything. I do believe that if you frame the session as something you are looking forward to, instead of something they have to do, then it starts everything off on the right foot. I play a lot of games with kids and keep it fun and light.

  • I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I shoot wearing a mask and wash my hands throughout the session. Rapid tests taken by request; testing fees apply.

 The process

Working Together

Get in touch.

Fill out the contact form with as much detail as you can. From there, we will choose an available shoot date.

Book your session.

Once I have answered all your questions, I will send you a proposal. This proposal will walk you through the four booking stages. You will select your session type, fill out a questionnaire, submit the $250 deposit and sign the portrait contract.

Tell me more.

I will review your questionnaire responses and send you my prep-guide. We can then schedule a pre-session phone call to go over the specifics.

Time to shoot

You will need to submit the session balance before we shoot. On the shoot day, I go with your flow. Your shoot time allows for flexibility to take breaks when needed, without missing out on shots or time. The more relaxed and comfortable, the better.

The gallery

Three weeks after your shoot day, you will receive a private link to a custom slideshow of the edited images from your session, and your image gallery. You will have two whole months to view and download your images. Your gallery links to an easy-to-use online print shop. The shop is filled with various lab-quality photo products for you to choose from, such as matted and framed prints, calendars, and greeting cards.

Make it last

One of the first things you should consider when planning a photoshoot is how you intend to use the photos. In this digital age, I urge you think beyond social media platforms. These photos are an investment in lifelong memories. Use your print credit and frame these beauties!
